Our Functional Capacity Assessment service includes the following:
- Functional Capacity Assessments for psychosocial disabilities or mental health
- Assessments for Adults & Children to determine goals, assess needs and build capacity.
- Assessment Mental Health Service that is respectful and provided with empathy, care, and compassion
- Support individuals who experience impairment across their lifetime and their capacity to carry out everyday activities and without support capacity is substantially reduced.
- Assessment designed to assess how a participants mental health condition impacts everyday life.
- The Assessment will identify strengths and where you need additional support with everyday activities, assistive technology, meal support or therapeutic interventions or participation in community activities
6 Everyday Functioning Life Skill Areas
The Assessment will take into consideration six everyday functioning life skills areas and determine through formal assessments the support required to assist you to improve daily functioning and participation in the community.
Communication
Being understood in spoken, written, sign language, understanding other and express needs.
Social Interaction
Being able to make and keep friends, interacting with the community, behaving within limits accepted by others, and the ability to cope with feelings and emotions in a social setting.
Learning
Understanding and remembering information, learning new things and practicing and using new skills. Learning to improve mobility in the community, self-care and self-manage.
Mobility
The ability of a a person to move around the home and community to undertake ordinary activities of daily living requiring the use of limbs.
Self-care
Relates to activities related to personal care, hygiene, grooming, feeding oneself, and
the ability to care for own health care needs.
Self-management
The cognitive capacity to organise one’s life, to plan and make decisions, and to take responsibility for oneself. This includes completing daily tasks, making decisions, problem solving, and managing finances.

Our Social Worker Therapists are qualified to complete a functional capacity assessment to assist you to provide evidence for your NDIS reviews. The therapist will use the most suitable assessment to provide the requested evidence. We will use the following preferred NDIS Assessment tools. Other assessment will be completed when required.
